The Business Programme
The breath behind your best performance.
For agency leaders, founders, and high-stakes professionals who want a tool that works when the pressure climbs.
The pressure doesn't go away. The tools to handle it should.
The work that matters most is rarely the calmest. Pitches, public speaking, leadership decisions, hard conversations. The moments that shape a quarter, a year, or a career tend to arrive carrying a heart rate of 110 and a mouth that has somehow gone dry.
Most leadership advice ignores the body completely. The result is a generation of high performers who can think their way around most problems, but have no tool for the ones that hit the nervous system first.
- New business pitches that feel like 15 minutes of held breath
- Public speaking nerves that hijack 200 hours of preparation
- Difficult client conversations where the calmest person wins
- Leadership stress that compounds across weeks and quarters
- The 3am brain that refuses to slow down before a big day
Why breath, why now.
I spent 25 years in the advertising business. New business pitches, public speaking, demanding clients, hard conversations. I know what acute work stress feels like, and I know how it eats at performance and well-being over time.
You can't out-think stress. You can out-breathe it.
Most leadership advice ignores the body completely. Breathwork is the missing tool. It is the only autonomic function you can deliberately steer, which makes it the most direct route to regulating your nervous system in the moment.
Train it once, and you can call on it before the pitch, in the meeting, on stage, or at three in the morning when the brain is racing.
The science
Three systems. One method.
Biomechanical
How and where you breathe matters.
Diaphragmatic breathing supports better posture, presence, and a stable voice. A strong diaphragm cuts the physical tells of stress before they arrive on stage or in the meeting.
Biochemical
Balancing gases in the body.
Breathing less (functional hypoventilation) increases CO2 tolerance, which improves oxygen delivery to the brain. Sharper thinking under load, less fog after a hard day.
Psychophysiological
Breath and the nervous system.
Slowing the breath activates the parasympathetic branch, stimulates the vagus nerve, and pulls you out of fight-or-flight on demand. Calm becomes a tool, not an accident.
What working together looks like.
